Starla’s Starcast: February 15 – March 15, 2018

While the populace was basking under the Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse and super blue moon, I was sequestered in a secret location where I contemplated celestial bodies. Dame Edna and a few of her possums stopped by, but couldn’t tarry. It seems, she was “Barry” busy.

February has no full moon, but there was a New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius on the 15th. And I’ve got the lowdown.

(To inquire about Starla doing an astro chart and/or a personal consultation for you or as a gift for a friend, please email her at starsviastarla @gmail.com.  She also does gypsy readings—similar to Tarot, but using playing cards.)

January 20-February 18

February began with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all in your homesign, encouraging you to focus on innovation with that genius brain of yours. The Total Lunar Eclipse, super blue full Moon in Leo and your relationship house waned to make way for the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse on the 15th. You may have been thinking about what you want in a partner, both personally professionally.

Venus moved into Pisces and your 2nd House of earned income on Feb. 10th to stay until March 6th. This is favorable for money, but you may also be more sensitive and emotional. Try not to weep during presentations and negotiations. Remember, you’re innately emotionally-intolerant.

There’s no full moon this month, but there was a New Moon/Partial Eclipse in your in your homesign on the 15th, so you can expect some powerful events and possibilities. While a new moon influence lingers for four weeks, the after-effects of a solar eclipse last six months. A new moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of a new cycle, while a Solar eclipse tends to create new beginnings and bright new opportunities. So take an immigrant under your wing, or dance on the bar, or get a tattoo, or learn to yodel. You get the drift.

This New Moon was also conjunct Mercury the messenger in your homesign. Thinkers and innovators are going to gather in the next few months to take action. Look for social and media breakthroughs as well as technology advances. A brighter future beckons. Maybe Bill Gates will want to pick your brain for business advice.

Whatever happens, you should also be out and about socially. Unfurl yourself. You don’t want to miss any new friends and associates who whirl your way.

The goddess planet Venus made nice with Saturn on the same day as the eclipse. Venus is love and beauty; Saturn is wise. Chances are your new—or existing–love is here to stay.

Joining the New Moon/Solar Eclipse action are the asteroids Juno and Hygeia. Juno, named after the wife of Jupiter, is an indication of what kind of person you’re meant to marry. And Hygeia is named for the goddess of and symbol of holistic wellbeing, self-empowerment, purification and healing. This means love, companionship, health, and medicine will be topics of discussion during and after the eclipse.

One of the most dramatic tools the universe stages to get your attention, eclipses often light up the truth about a condition that you never in a million years knew existed. Sometimes the news at eclipse time will be delivered in a dramatic and obvious way, and other times, it will be more subtle, like a secret or a snitch of gossip. Nevertheless it will foretell dramatic changes to come. So pay attention.

The solar eclipse also makes nice with the surprise maven, Uranus, one of your planetary rulers (Saturn is also your ancient planetary ruler). This represents freedom and choice, as well as revolutionary vision–the urge for change and the ability to visualize new possibilities.

With expansive Jupiter doing his yearly sabbatical in your 10th House of career, fame, and fortune, you can expect professional acumen and chutzpah. A planet with 67-plus moons, he still has time to cozy up to Pluto the transformer which bodes well for not only your here and now, but also your hither and thither.

The last half of February will be Pisces-dominated, which will definitely impact your 2nd House of earned income.

Mars in Sagie takes on Neptune in Pisces February 17th. Neptune waxes romantic, while ambitious Mars always has an agenda, and this time, it involves friends and associates. This could be a recipe for disappointment or disillusion—or both. Maybe you should have a therapist on call—just in case. Since you’re not naturally forthcoming, they may have to be aggressive to get you to open up—although you should lay the law down about hoods and whips. But opening up is what you need to do. It’s so much better than writing it down in your diary,

Mercury enters emotional Pisces on the 18th, so does the Sun. With Venus, Mercury and the Sun all in Pisces, you may feel a wide range of emotions–content, imaginative, and meditative—about finances. Or you may feel confused and flounder about in different directions. In this case, turn on your planetary GPS.

Sensuous Venus conjuncts dreamy Neptune in Pisces on the 21st. What a pair! Venus is exalted in Pisces, and Neptune rules Pisces. Fantasies abound—just don’t lose your way, especially if you partake in recreational drugs. Hopefully Mercury and Saturn will keep you grounded. Even if it’s just one of your feet. Otherwise, you could go bump in the night—or day.

On the 25th, Venus in Pisces knocks feisty Mars in sassy Sag on his gluteus maximus. Passions are out of control, so egos may erupt. For you it could mean a showdown over money.

That same day, communications guru Mercury conjuncts dreamy Neptune in Pisces, and the Sun throws kisses to Saturn in Capricorn and your 12th House of secrets, seclusion, and spirituality. Try not to get confused, and avoid confrontations, which you tend to do anyway. Luckily, the Sun is placating taskmaster Saturn, lending a bit of common sense to this planetary bedlam.

At month’s end, Venus and Mercury throw kisses to Pluto in Capricorn. It’s transformation time, especially where relationships are concerned. Behind-the-scenes scenarios could impact your finances and test your values. Like the old song says, “There’ll be some changes made.” Add to that Mercury’s feud with Mars. Just ride the rollercoaster into March, airy one. And please don’t challenge anyone to a duel unless your weapon of choice is Destiny 2.

Whether March comes in like a lamb or a lion, the friendly full moon in Virgo the perfectionist on the 1st will embrace your 8th House of other people’s money, erotic sex, and intimacy. Don’t fight it. Embrace the momentum. Either way, it should be a win-win.

February 19-March 20

February began with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all in your next door neighbor Aquarius and your 12th House of secrets, seclusion, and meditation. The Total Lunar Eclipse, super blue full Moon in Leo and your 6th House of health and work set the stage for some powerful Pisces action. Yes, you Pisces, are about to enter a feisty and fantastic period. The Full Moon total lunar eclipse is waning to pave the way for the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse on the 15th, also in Aquarius and your 12th House.

Expect behind-the-scene machinations. Hopefully, instead of losing yourself in fanciful scenarios where you are marrying Prince Harry or his fiancee, you used this quiet time to propel that imagination of yours into uncharted waters of creativity. Actually, despite your all-over-the-place emotions, you have the ability to channel amazing artistry. Pay close attention to your dreams–the Cosmos may give you a test.

Venus is already embracing you. She moved into Pisces and your 1st House of self on Feb. 10th to stay until March 6th. She’s a goddess, and starting mid-month, you could be a goddess/god as well. Naturally, your emotions will be in sync with the firmament.

While a new moon influence lingers for four weeks, the aftermath of a solar eclipse lasts six months. They invite new beginnings and new opportunities. And boy, are you ready! In fact, you’re in danger of being over-ripe.

This New Moon is also conjunct Mercury the messenger in your 12th House. No use pouting; there’s no escape. Just deal with it. You can be a force of nature when there’s no choice.

The goddess planet Venus in your homesign canoodles with Saturn on the same day as the eclipse. Venus is love and beauty; Saturn is wise. Could your soul mate be on the horizon? Or better yet, in your bed?

A couple of asteroids are hanging around the New Moon/Solar Eclipse. Say hello to the groupies Juno and Hygeia. Juno, named after the wife of Jupiter, is an indication of the type of person you’re meant to marry. And Hygeia is named for the goddess of and symbol of holistic wellbeing, self-empowerment, purification and healing. This means love, companionship, and health and medicine will be topics of discussion during and after this eclipse. Expect some important women’s issues to emerge.

When the universe wants your attention, he/she stages an eclipse. And this can expose a truth that even you, with your vivid imagination and psychic abilities, could not predict. It may be dramatic—no problem, you revel in emotion. Or subtle, which of course, you will need to discern. However it arrives, it’s going to be BIG!

The solar eclipse also makes nice with unpredictable Uranus in Aries and your 2nd House of earned income. Has he got a surprise for you! As a matter of fact he does. There’s even talk of a revolution. So start visualizing, Fish Baby.

With one of your rulers, lucky Jupiter, taking a yearly sabbatical in your 9th House of education, publishing and long-distant travel, you just might pack your valise and seek an adventure. Not a Jack Sparrow expedition—alas, Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush are not available, but you shouldn’t miss a frolic when Jupiter and Pluto the Transformer are working together on your behalf.

The last half of February holds a planetary parade in your honor, Pisces. Unlike the military version our dear leader wanted, this pageantry procession celebrates you, you, and you with love, love, love. And it’s mostly joyful with a few challenges thrown in. The Cosmo likes to keep you on your toes.

Mars in Sag and your 10th House of fame and fortune takes on your other planetary ruler Neptune in your homesign, Neptune is dreamy, but sometimes clouds your vision, while warrior Mars always packs heat. And this time, their skirmish involves your career and reputation. This could be fraught with anxiety. Maybe you should check out a yoga class. Word is that goat yoga is setting trends. There’s nothing more appealing than a goat standing on your back while you’re down on all fours doing the Bitilasana, aka Cow Pose. It’s sure to get you moo-ving.

Mercury enters your emotional homesign on the 18th, and so does the Sun. Whoo-hoo! Now you have Venus, Mercury and the Sun all in Pisces. It’s your turn to shine like the star you truly are. During any Pisces celebration, emotions and sentiment rule. But so does your intuition.

On the 21st, sensuous Venus conjuncts dreamy Neptune in Pisces.  Since Venus is exalted in Pisces and Neptune rules Pisces, fantasies beckon. You’re apt to get carried away. Fortunately, Mercury and Saturn will work together to bring you back to reality. But hopefully, they won’t rush. Instead of counting your blessings, why not count your orgasms? Or was that squealing just to impress the neighbors?

Then on the 25th, Venus in Pisces has a showdown with fiery Mars in sassy Sag and your 10th House. Passions rage and egos go to head-to-head. Don’t be afraid to be assertive (yes, you)–Mercury and Neptune are on your side. And the Sun adds his two cents when he makes friendly overtures to taskmaster Saturn in Capricorn and your 11th House of friends and associates. Although, there’s a possibility of confusion and confrontations, luckily, the two S-planets are ready to intervene.

At month’s end, Venus and Mercury in Pisces throw kisses to Pluto in Capricorn and your 11th House. Friendships may be transformed, if they can survive airy Mercury’s feud with fiery Mars.

March will continue the Pisces momentum. The friendly full moon in Virgo and the on March 1st lands in your 7th House of relationships. As Martha Stewart says, “It’s a good thing.”

March 21-April 19

February began with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all in Aquarius and your 11th House of friends and associates. The Total Lunar Eclipse, super blue full Moon in Leo fell in your 5th House of creativity, frolic and true love. That eclipse is now waning to make room for the New Moon/Partial Solar Eclipse on the 15th, also in Aquarius and your 11th House. This New Moon is also conjunct Mercury the messenger in your 11th House. While a new moon influence lingers for four weeks, the aftermath of a solar eclipse lasts six months. They invite new beginnings and new opportunities. So when adventure calls, Aries, don’t hesitate to answer.

You should be meeting new friends and associates right and left. Oops, I meant left and left-er. Unless you lean alt-right and are ready to declare war on some unsuspecting FaceBooker. Venus, who moved into Pisces on February 10th where she will stay until March 6th, is encouraging your spirituality, which in turn will help your machismo nature learn to deal with the Me-Too movement.

The goddess planet Venus in Pisces and your 12th House makes nice with Saturn in Capricorn and your 10th House fame and fortune. Venus loves; Saturn teaches. Pop those notions into that fiery noggin of yours; it will inspire you to choose the right destiny.

Mercury enters your Pisces and your 12th House on the 18th. So does the Sun. Now you don’t have a choice. You must deal with Venus, Mercury and the Sun all in Pisces. So holster your weapons and feign meekness. (We know you’re faking, but if you’re clever enough, others will not.) You are being reassigned to the power behind the throne. Not your favorite position of dominance, but a masterful ram like you should be able to orchestrate a takeover before anyone catches on to your ploy.

Your warrior planetary ruler Mars takes on Neptune on the 25th. This Poetic Planet can confuse the situation, while you are always ready for a fight. That might not work out for you, hothead. It’s an ibid moment, so I’ll say it again: Cool your jets till March 21st, when the Sun moves into your homesign.

That same day, sensuous Venus conjuncts dreamy Neptune in Pisces. Since Venus is exalted in Pisces and Neptune rules Pisces, this sparks your fiery libido. You could get lost in someone’s arms—or other appendages. Fortunately, Mercury and Saturn will be on hand to help you find your way out.

Then on the 25th, Venus in Pisces has a showdown with your planetary ruler Mars in sassy Sag and your 9th House. Emotions erupt, and egos explode. It won’t be a knock-drag out–Mercury and Neptune stand ready to put out the fire. But with the Sun in your 12th House and Saturn in Capricorn and your 11th House of friends and associates, you may attract a crowd.

At month’s end, Venus and Mercury in Pisces throw kisses to Pluto in Capricorn and your 11th House. Friendships may be transformed, if they can survive airy Mercury’s feud with fiery Mars.

March will continue Pisces dominance. Just get over it, and let the fishes have their moment. The friendly full moon in Virgo and the on March 1st beams in your 6th House of health, work, and daily routine. Keep your nose to the grindstone, as you impatiently await the Sun’s entry into Aries. Then you can throw your weight around.
