Mark your calendars, astro darlings. On Jan 31st the second full moon in January makes astro history. Depending on what area of your chart it affects, it will be a power surge that will affect your life long after it peaks. It is also a blue moon (two full moons in the same calendar month), and the first blue moon Total Lunar Eclipse in more than 150 years, according to scientists. The Total Lunar Eclipse will actually look red, sometimes called a red blue moon. You don’t have to shield your eyes during a Total Lunar Eclipse, and the best time to see it in Seattle is between 4:51am and 5:29am on January 31st.

There are five eclipses in 2018, two Total Lunar Eclipses (Jan 31st and July 27th) and three Partial Solar Eclipses (February 15th, July 12th, and August 11th). You will discover how they will affect you in your sign’s 2018 forecast. The dates are aligned with Pacific Daylight Time. BTW, an eclipse never comes alone; a solar eclipse usually occurs about two weeks before or after a lunar eclipse.

It packs a punch–a power surge that will affect your life in that it marks an ending of some kind. And it will be highly emotional.

This year brings out your ambitious side, much to the surprise of some, who have you pegged as a steadfast plod-along. They have forgotten that you are the bull of the zodiac, and when necessary you can stampede, not as a destructive force in a china shop, but with a determined goal in mind. Your charming nature, bestowed by the love goddess Venus, has an underbelly of stubborn strength and endurance. At least that’s what your lovers whisper about.

The schedule: March 22 to April 15 in Aries and your 11th House of friends and associates; July 26 to August 19 in Leo and your 3rd House of short trips and neighbors, and November 16 to December 6th in Sagittarius and your 7th House of relationships. During these times, you should not start new ventures or sign contracts. In fact, you need a leeway of two weeks or so before and after any retro period, before proceeding. As 2018 begins, the full Supermoon beams in your homesign, intensifying emotions (as if you needed that). Luckily, the universe endowed you with an impenetrable shell to protect that seething volcano of lunar emotions.

January 16th welcomes a New Moon in Capricorn and, your 7th House. In fact, there’s a bevy of planets there that will impact your relationships, hopefully for the good. One of those is Saturn, who will force you to toe the mark for the next three years. Your relationships are under the microscope, and Saturn doesn’t miss a thing. He will supervise your partnerships. You could get married, engaged or divorced during this time. Saturn may be tough, but he has your best interests at heart.

When the second full moon arrives on January 31st, it will be in Leo and your 2nd House of earned income. Not only is it a blue supermoon, it is a Total Lunar Eclipse. Changes are eminent, for moon babies this year, and you’re apt to be happy about the outcome. The universe makes no promises, but both the financial and romantic prospects are good.

July 23-August 22

2018 dares you to fulfill your potential. You are a star, magnificent Leo. You know it, and most everyone else knows it. If they don’t, you’ll be glad to tell them. As long as you don’t go into your superior, narcissistic mode, your sunny disposition attracts others, like a flower ready to pollinate attracts a bee.

The New Year’s Day full Supermoon beams in Cancer and your 12th House of secrets, seclusion, and reflection. The New Moon on January 16th beams in Capricorn and your 6th House of work and health. And the big lunar event on January 31st takes place in your homesign. It’s the second full moon in the month, which is known as a blue moon. But it’s also a Supermoon and a Total Lunar Eclipse. An eclipse in your homesign and your first House is about self, balancing “I am” with your meaningful relationships. And a Total Lunar Eclipse is even stronger influence on your private life. The challenge here is to balance personal initiatives and identity.
