Different Ways To Work Out If You Hate The Gym

We all know it is important to work out. But when we seldom have time to do it, this is when things get tricky. When it comes to exercising, we don’t have to just go to the gym or go for a run. There are many simple ways to incorporate exercise into your life without even realizing it. Let’s show you some ways that you might not have even considered but also may be even better for you than hitting the gym.

Hitting the Garden

While you may not be green-fingered or live nowhere near greenery, gardening is one of those things that is not just a fantastic way to exercise, but it is one of the best ways to de-stress. When you think about gardening, it is a pretty labor-intensive practice. Carrying heaps of compost and garden furniture can keep you fit. If you want to go further, you may want to start building walls or outhouses. And if you want to bring your inner designer out and turn your outhouse into a barn, the strength it requires to lift and push hay bales is not to be underestimated!

Get Tense

Something that doesn’t look like much but is incredibly beneficial is isometrics. This is nothing new. It’s been done for decades but isn’t particularly popular because all it is is you tensing your muscles. But doing this is a fantastic way to get your strength built up. Tensing your muscles as hard as you can for 30 seconds before gradually letting them go can feel like you’ve done a workout. It should be difficult. And when you look at the abundance of videos online on how people are doing isometrics or timed static contractions, it’s definitely worth incorporating into your life if time is never on your side.

Get Dancing

One of the best ways to lose weight and to get yourself stronger is to have a dance around the kitchen! If you are serious about it, you may want to get involved in Zumba or swing dancing. You will be sweating within a matter of minutes and be incredibly sore the next day. The great thing about dancing on a regular basis is that you can easily shed the pounds. No wonder dancers are so thin!

Play the Drums

Playing the drums isn’t just a great way to get your heart rate up, but it forces you to use both sides of your brain together. Playing the drums is a fantastic way to feel the beat but it is particularly noisy. You can always buy cheap electric drum kits if you are just looking for a workout and want to bash the living hell out of a drum kit. In addition to this, it is a fantastic way to get your frustrations out!

Keeping your health and well-being in check is vital, but you may feel there isn’t much time to keep fit. All of these things you can do in the comfort of your own home, and there’s always the old faithful body workout…
