Carrie Fisher Iconic Princess Leia Of “Star Wars” Passed Away

Carrie Fisher actress, author and mental health advocate has passed away at age 60. Yes, 2016 has struck again. Earlier this week, on Christmas Day in fact, we lost music icon George Michael. Now our beloved Princess Leia Organa has left this existence and moved on to the next.

Carrie Fisher was the born1956 to Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher in Beverly Hills, CA . The Hollywood power couple broke up two years later when Fisher left Reynolds for Elizabeth Taylor. She passed today (Tuesday, December 27, 2016) four days after a cardiac episode in flight on the way to LAX.

Carrie Fisher has been an icon since 1977 when she became Princess Leia in “Star Wars”. Little did we know that we would still be so attached to the movie franchise today with the release of “Rogue One” earlier this month. She saved the galaxy and stole our hearts.

She has appeared in so many amazing films from “The Blues Brothers”, “Hannah and her Sisters”, to “Charlie’s Angels”. She wrote the semi-autobiographical “Postcards From The Edge” and later adapted it for the screen.
