Broadway Across America 2022-2023 Season At Seattle’s Paramount Theatre

Wow! What a Season!

When they sing, “You’ve got nothing to hit but the heights”, they mean it! The Paramount Theatre has presented it’s upcoming 2022-2023 season, and it is not to be missed. Maybe it is to make up for the one-and-a-half years of no live theatre (thank you Covid), but the newly announced season is one hit after another, and not to be missed. HADESTOWN
July 12-17, 2022
This Tony and Grammy Winning show is one of the most talked about productions on Broadway. The classic telling of Eurydice and Orpheus is put the hauntingly beautiful jazz and blues sound for an incredible show about an epic love, the changing of the seasons, and the gods themselves. Nominated for 14 Tony Awards it won eight, including Best Musical (2019)!

Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird
October 11 – 16, 2022
NOT A MUSICAL! Set among the controversial subjects of bigotry and racism in the south, this classic story tells the tale of a young girl that learns; her father isn’t perfect, friendships develop in unlikely places, that vicious rumors can destroy lives, and humanity – as well as disgrace – is not limited to skin color.

Jagged Little Pill
November 8 – 13, 2022
A jukebox musical using the music of Alanis Morissette, the story is original and met with high anticipation. Nominated for 13 Tony Awards it won three including Best Book of a Musical (2020).

Blue Man Group (Season Option)
November 25 – 27, 2022
The group of clever, amusing, and messy performers is always a crowd pleasure!

Moulin Rouge! The Musical
December 14 – January 1, 2023
This highly anticipated musical adaptation from the hit movie is sure to be a crowd pleaser for the holidays! With a blend of traditional love story and modern music, this timeless tale is set in Paris, and tells the story of a young artist trying to win the affections of a courtesan. Nominated for 14 Tony Awards it won 10 including Best Musical of 2020.

Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of the Temptations
January 24 – February 5, 2023
The smash hit is finally rescheduled from its canceled engagement. This show retells the rise of the one of the greatest groups to ever come out of Motown, The Temptations. Nominated for 11 Tony Awards it won for Best Choreography (2019).

Dear Evan Hansen (Season Option)
March 7 – 12, 2023
This beautiful stage production tells the story of a high school outcast, and the power that social media has to reach out and make a change for the better or the worse.

HAIRSPRAY, the Musical
April 4 – 9, 2023
The musical that started in Seattle returns! This hit musical, based on a movie, became a musical movie! Set among the racial tensions of 1960’s Baltimore, the story follows an overweight teenage girl that dances her way passed all limits including bigotry and prejudice.

No matter how you look at it, the new season is full of hits and is bound to please!
